Gabriela Koc was born in Venezuela to Peruvian parents and is a youth advocate, proud immigrant, and political organizer. She has a B.S. in Biology with a Pre-Medicine concentration, an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Connecticut, and is a certified 7th-12th science teacher. Her career expands over three industries; education, law, and government. Her political experience includes working as Deputy Political Director on Governor Lamont’s successful 2022 gubernatorial re-election. She lives in Stamford where she mentors students at UCONN, providing a crucial perspective as a first-generation college graduate. She volunteers with the Juvenile Review Board, a restorative justice-based court diversion program for juveniles, and helps advocate and provide translation services for students in the Stamford Public Schools, primarily working with migrant minors and their families.
